A Second Helping collects leftover food from vacationers as the leave the island and distribute to the needy in our area.
We accept canned goods, foodstuffs, perishables & non-perishables and we will even take your open containers.
This year we will be distributing the donated food through The Storehouse Food Pantry in Morehead City.

THOSE LEAVING BY COAST GUARD ROAD GO THRU THE STOP LIGHT ROAD AND TAKE A RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SPEEDWAY GAS STATION, THEN TAKE THE NEXT RIGHT AND YOU WILL SEE US ON THE CORNER, EASY ACCESS BACK ON HWY 58/EMERALD DRIVE.

Volunteers are needed to staff the the drop off space beside Bert's Surf Shop for 3 Hours (8 am-11 am) either on a Saturday or a Sunday.
We are a local group of volunteers that help collect and distribute vacationers leftover food to those in need in our area.
